Grocery Gateway App Reviews

Ive been waiting for Grocery Gateway to come out with an app. It needs some basic functionality though. Barcode scanning should be a no-brainer, and hiding the password as you type it should be mandatory. Nice version 1, but could use a bit more.

Never used an online grocery app before. Tried this, but lacks some basic functionality and options. And the lack of ingredients listed killed it for me. Think Ill stick with ordering from Real Food Toronto.

I used to shop on Grocery Gateway every week but eventually the novelty and convenience wore off. Ive been waiting for a Grocery Gateway app for years and have now returned to shopping here because of the app. Its a good first attempt but some quirks prevent it from reaching its full potential. It was a frustrating experience because many items do not have pictures. I shopped here this once but wont again because it was like poking in the dark. Navigation can be confusing. Also, many of the search terms do not return results. Try searching "toilet paper". You wont find any! Try "sliced bread"... Again 0 results -- though Im sure Grocery Gateway sells slice bread. Good potential but needs some work.

After logging in the first time I forgot to logout. When I opened the app the second time I was still logged in. When I logged out and relogged in the app did not hide my password. Bad security. Also could not find any way to checkout after reserving the delivery date. Had to go back to regular website to check out.

Well everybody have been telling me how good GGI is... So why not give it a try... Omg all I Can say is the shopping with this ad is like shopping in the dark! When I got my shipment there are lots of miss pick and out Of stock! Seriously why cant they have a out of stock icon when some product are NA... Now I have to waste my time doing real shopping to make up all the mistake GGI have done. App will be deleted wont shop at ggi ever again!!!

Missing so many features. Where is MyStore with MyLists that I took such pains to setup online? And it actually displayed my password unmasked at one point!!! This feels like an app that went straight from the programmers to the store without bothering to have a few actual users test it first.

This is a good app and it was much anticipated. I use my iPad to order my groceries. Before this app came out, I was simply using my iPad to go to the grocerygateway website to place my order. Now, when you try to go to the website (on the iPad) it takes you to the mobile site which is very similar to this app. It does not appear to be an option to go to the "full" site anymore (it does appear as an option as the site transfers you to the mobile site, but it appears for less than a quarter of a second and it doesnt appear to be clickable). There are 2 important features that are missing and require me to use my PC every week in order to complete my order: 1) the ability to modify an order 2) being able to go to the specific category/aisle for an item. (eg. If you are looking at a 1L of 2% milk, you should be able to click on it to get the category Grocery / Dairy / Milk to see what other items are available. *** Update Nov 25, 2012 - you can now get to the "full site" in your iPad browser. Better, but it should be unnecessary to go to the full site ***

In regards someone does not see "My List". --you can find that in "Your most frequent". The only thing missing is ability to amend order BUT this can be done for now by simply phoning them. I was told they are working on that. Great Job so far. Thank you !! I can order now from anywhere. Love the app!!!!

Ive now finally made the switch to online grocery ordering. This app makes the experience so effortless, Ive now just done away with my weekly chore of heading out to the grocery store. Thank you Grocery Gateway!!!!

Lovely app! BUT you need to give me access to my shopping list. That is more important than my Favourites or my previous orders.

Specific to this store - useless to anyone else.

Nice app for those who use GG. I find it pretty silly that people are giving it one star because its specific to grocery gateway which has a specific delivery area. Dont download an app for a local company thats not in your area then complain about it being useless.

For those who order from GG this is a handy app. Only giving 4 stars though as there doesnt seem to be any way to modify an order that hasnt reached its cutoff time-add or change items.

Great idea to compliment GG delivery service! Works smoothly and great graphics!

Used to be awesome… Now it crashes time I click something after sign in. Tried removing from iPad and then re-downloading, no luck. Fix please!

Just down loaded today, had to call customer service already do to the app continuously crashing/not connecting/not recognizing my password.

I didnt want to register until I had a look, spent over an hour "shopping" had over $200 in my cart. Registered at the end during checkout and it cleared my cart. What a waste of time.

Used this service a few years ago after surgery. Have since rediscovered & love the convenience if on line shopping. App is easily navigated & product pricing is comparable. Great app!

Constantly crashes. Couldnt get passed 3rd page of sign up.

The first time I tried using it, the app crashed loosing my order. The window frames dont always load properly and some of the products appear cutoff. The app needs more work.
