Web app squished into a mobile app

The app is now a mobile version of their website. Would have been nice if they took the time to design their mobile apps properly. Also, no landscape on iPad? Really?

App upgrade pushes me to reset my password?

Then the website doesnt load properly in safari. Interface on a iPhone is difficult to use. App doesnt format to landscape in a iPad.

Great Service (5 stars), Terrible App Design (1 star)

The pictures are pretty, but if you are looking for function over form, be prepared to wait a long while. The previous version, before the massive redesign, is better. The pictures pop up in all the most awkward places and cover everything you actually want to see and do, and stay around far too long. Instead of being able to select a quantity, more than one, and add it to the cart, they made adding more than one item at once the most awkward process they could think of. Trying to clear the substation option all at once, dont worry, they made deselecting this manual. Really great if you have fifty or one hundred items in your cart and love scrolling and touching each and every box. Why isnt no substitutes an option in settings? And how about those grocery lists. Could they provide a manual sort option too? Apparently not. Sigh. Great service, terrible app design.

Horrible Change

Looks pretty but not functional at all. Im a mom with a young baby and Grocery Gateway has been my savior. Now its obnoxious. Old purchases are hard to find (use to be quick and easy to add to new order) and when searching for a product and you click on it to see ingredients, theres no back button to the main list. You have to re-search all over again. No smart fill-ins for items either (ex type mus and mushroom is suggested). You have to type in the full item youre searching for each time. What a pain in the neck.

Un polished app

App has many issues... *forgot password - not an option *weekly specials incomplete load and then you freeze *difficult to use and very slow on iPhone. spend some time testing this app and fixing or bring back the old one that you could use with easy. Otherwise the service is not worth the headache to place an order.

Would be a better review if I could login

Cant login on ipad. Press the button and nothing.... As it turns out on the web using ipad it is pretty hinky too. Not going to buy a new device to get groceries which is too bad because I really enjoyed the service.

Disastrous update

I wonder at times whether testing is done to see if it actually works. This used to be a pleasurable experience. Now its painful! Doesnt save incomplete orders, no back button, doesnt show the complete shopping cart unless you ask it, isnt easy to add items. Who designed this monstrosity? I rarely review an app but this was so bad I had to say something.

Upgraded app a definite downgrade

The old app worked just fine but this one is constantly freezing and so slow to load :( very disappointed at how cumbersome this easy experience has become

Sure the new version of this app looks great, but its functionality is zerooo. It freezes constantly & it took me a whole hour just to get my list finished, I could have just gone to the store in that amount of time sheesh.

Did they test this app with consumers before launching

The old app was not great but this app is brutal. The photos are so large it takes so long to scroll. Not easy to use takes way longer to shop. The other app had issues but this one has made me decide to try a different company or go back to shopping in person. Not worth the headache. Waiting in line is less frustrating I decided to give the app a second shot today. However it was worse when I tried it out from start to finish. You have to manually deselect all substitutions which is painful. Its such a long process shopping now. I have to do from a lap top it took too long for something that is supposed to simplify your life. I could have gotten into my car and driven to Brunos or pusateris instead. Also Ive now called customer service for the past month and left messages looking for help with the rewards card being added. Longos has not once called me back. Ive never felt the need to complain about something. In my life nor have I ever bothered to write a review for anything but this new website and app has made something that I loved to use into a more frustrating part of my day and now I have to find an alternative

Expecting Apple Pay support

App is good overall, would be great if it accepts Apple Pay to pay faster.

Poorly designed web app

Too much text everywhere in hard to read fonts, loading times on every interaction without any user feedback, alerts with way too much information that appear for 2 seconds. Very poorly designed app.

Go back to old version

Updated app hard to navigate. Was so easy now a mess.

Old app much better

While I had issues with the old app, this one is much worse. Very slow, difficult navigation and many pages dont work.

Terrible website

Sheesh the original website was nothing to brag about but this is unusable. Elderly handicapped shopper here and I am quite devastated by this turn of events. Would like to see some response from Longos. Incredibly poor design. Spent a couple of hours this morning trying to shop, left it to attend to other stuff after being certain to save it. GONE! Customer service no help. Shouldnt have to spend more than an hour just placing a grocery order.

Worst ecommerce experience ever

I just wanted to write my review before I delete your app, and after 6 years of using your service. Think of the Lifetime Customer Value...all gone down the drain because you tried to do this app cheaply and not thoughtfully. This is the most painful mobile commerce user experience i have ever seen. You tried to make a mobile app out of a website. Its not 2008. Its 2016. It takes me less time and cost me less money to DRIVE to Longos than it does to place an order through this app. Shameful really. Deleted.

New App Fail

Been a loyal customer for years. This new app is hard work. For a service that is supposed to make your life easier you just made using it a whole lot less efficient.

I love this app

Easy to use .. search bar works great when finding items .. love the idea of visually seeing the product .. I really do hope you guys can add description of items .. sometimes when you click the item, it doesnt give you the actual product details, it may push my decision to buy if I knew description of a product Im not familiar with! Otherwise great app!
